Connect
Plug the fox in over USB-C and connect, or use the simulated board. Then pick a firmware template.
Board & pins
Which microcontroller, and which pin does each job. Defaults come from the board; change them if your carrier PCB is wired differently.
Radio
The radio module fitted next to the microcontroller, and its settings. If you don't know which band the module is, Probe will ask it.
Frequency plan
One frequency, or a list the fox rotates through. Each entry is checked against the module's range and the amateur band plan.
Callsign & ID
What the fox sends in Morse every cycle. Identifying with a licensed callsign is required; a fox with the placeholder stays silent.
Payload
What follows the ID. Preview plays the whole transmission from the same event stream the fox will use.
Schedule
When the next transmission happens. Seeded schedules are drawn out so you can see the day in advance.
Deploy
What will change on the board, write it, reboot, and read the boot banner back.
Bench
Tests that run against the firmware on the board. Available once the fox firmware is deployed.
About fox-bench
What this page does, what it supports today, and where it is going.
Profiles & fleet
Save configurations by name and keep a log of every board that crosses the bench.
